This episode features The Electric Slide line dance Back in 1976, Neville “Bunny Wailer” Livingston wrote a catchy song called “Electric Boogie” for his childhood buddy, singer Marcia Griffiths. Then choreographer Silver created the electric slide, a 22-step dance to the song that incorporated grapevines and a series of forward and backward steps.
In the episode we’ll showcase the way we dance it. Then after we’ll break down some of the steps and talk about some of the playful additions that dancers like the great Frankie Manning, new contributers like Lashanna Holloway & Victor Sho and even the original choreographer Ric Silver brought to the table.
