ROCKIN’ AROUND THE CHRISTMAS TREE line dance (The Lindy Version)
EPISODE 27 | LINE DANCES at the PIER
CHOREOGRAPHER: Paolo Pasta Lanna

This line dance was first aired on DEC 23rd, 2020 in celebration of CHRISTMAS. The material is rooted in LINDY HOP and the Jazz Steps from that time period (1920s – 1950s).
HISTORY OF THIS NUMBER
Paolo Pasta Lanna the founder of  Lindyland.com choreographed this on DEC 22nd. While searching for a Christmas inspired line dance suitable for his final line of the Season (for the Marathon Monday Dance Challenge), he discpvered there wasn’t one that was in a Lindy Hop style. So he decided to work one out from scratch. 48 hours later, this line dance was born.

As stated by Paolo “I released this to add good cheer during a period of time in World History where entertainment, especially partnered dances has been greatly curtailed if not completely halted. My hopes is this brings new opportunities for dancers to be inspired, to learn about The Jazz Steps of the Lindy Hop, the grandfather of swing dance”
